A meeting  on the implementation activities under the Economic Reform Programme (ERP) and the Employment and Social Policy Policy Programme (ESRP) was held today in the premises of the Public Policies Secretariat . The meeting was attended by representatives of the National Convention on the European Union, representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, as well as representatives of the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit.

The meeting was opened by Ivan Sekulović, in front of the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit. He thanked the participants for the cooperation and praised the good practice of signing and implementing the Platform, which is a unique mechanism for monitoring the implementation of the Economic Reform Programme and the Employment Policy and Social Policy Reform Programme, which does not exist in any other European country.

Representatives of the four Platform organizations (European Policy Center , Center for Democracy Foundation, European Movement in Serbia and National Alliance for Local Economic Development) submitted reports on work on the implementation of the Platform and presented the planned activities by the end of the year. The second part of the meeting was dedicated to presenting the results in the process of creating the ERP and the ESRP by representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs. NCEU expects the relevant ministries to submit a draft of both Programs in the forthcoming period.

Cooperation between the Government and the National Convention on the European Union on the topic of the two documents mentioned above was formalized on 12th of September this year when the Platform for monitoring the implementation of the ERP and the ESRP was signed. Through the Platform, civil society has been given the opportunity to influence the process of creating and monitoring the implementation of economic and social reforms.
